So at this point, I'm halfway done with my internship; the time really has flown by. I've pretty much gotten everything down to a science; I have my method of packing up orders, I always start off the day by checking and replying to customer emails. I always try and look for more work to do once orders are taken care of, mainly reorganizing merchandise. My supervisor Mackenzie even shared the "Buys" with me, which are the spreadsheets of everything that we've ordered from vendors for the pre-fall and fall/winter seasons.
The only thing I haven't been satisfied with is the creative side of the company. I haven't been involved with any of the photoshoots or styling. Perhaps it's because I'm never there when we shoot new items and samples. I'll be sure to ask Mackenzie about being more involved with that after my 4th of July vacation. I even expressed interest in sitting in on the last meeting, but she said since there was private employee things involved I couldn't. However, she did say I could be a part of the next creative meeting! I don't know when that is, hopefully soon.
